POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH OFFICER - UNIVERSITY OF WARWICK

October 2015 - September 2017

Working on Dr. Maria Koinova’s Diasporas and Contested Sovereignty Project, which examined the role that conflict-generated diaspora populations play in the politics of six ethnic/national groups in Eastern Europe and Western Asia.
•             Assisting on the design and implementation of a cross-national survey of diaspora populations in three Western European countries
•             Overseeing the content analysis aspect of the project and conducting research on protest movements.
•             Organising submissions for a seminar on diaspora responses to radical-right populist movements

POLICY RESEARCH OFFICER - LEARNING AND SKILLS IMPROVEMENT SERVICE

August 2007 - December 2009

Researching public policy at an agency that provided leadership training for further education and skills sector (i.e., vocational education).
Preparing a weekly policy update on trends in the education sector and related fields, summarised relevant policy documents and assisted the Director of Strategic Policy.
Preparing and continuously updating an online report on fiscal interventions during the global financial crisis, focusing on government spending on education and skills programs as part of the overall framework of fiscal stimulus.
